Relay for Life

Jennifer is a cancer survivor. She is an active member of the Chemo Angels organization. Once again, Jennifer has graciously volunteered to be our team captain of the Crossroads Community Church team in this year's local Relay For Life fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society.

Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight activity that mobilizes communities across the country to celebrate survivorship, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and raise money for the fight against cancer. This is an American Cancer Society signature event.

This year's Relay For Life of Horry County Event in Conway will be held on April 18, 2007 at 7 pm, on the front lawn of The Old Horry County Courthouse.

Donations of any amount are encouraged.

Luminaries, Support Signs and Celebrate Life bracelets are available for donations.

White luminaries are placed around the walking track and lit during a special awe-inspiring ceremony honoring the survivors and victims whose names are written on the luminaries. $10 will purchase a luminary featuring the name of your loved one.

Support signs are an excellent way to advertise your business to local participants. The purchased support signs feature a Relay For Life logo along with your name, or your company name.

It will read: "(Your Name) supports Relay For Life."

The signs are placed along the track where hundreds of people will see them as they walk.

An 18 x 24 inch sign is $100.
